Teach us to Pray

Join us for our upcoming November Prayer Conference, titled “Teach Us to Pray.” This event promises to not only inspire you but also to provide uplifting encouragement that will motivate you to delve deeper into your personal prayer life. We are excited to welcome Dr. Rickie Moore as our guest speaker. Dr. Moore is actively involved in the student prayer movement, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience. His valuable insights and teachings will surely uplift and encourage us all as we earnestly seek to know Jesus better through our practice of prayer.

Dr. Moore will also be our morning speaker in our 10AM (English) and 1PM (Hispanic) Sunday services.

Rickie Moore, Ph.D.

Dr. Moore currently serves as Senior Advisor of Lee Prayer, Lee University’s student prayer ministry. He recently retired from full-time employment at Lee where he served for 15 years as Professor of Old Testament and Associate Dean of Theology. He previously taught for 25 years at Pentecostal Theological Seminary. He is a founding co-editor of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology, and his books include God Saves:Lessons from the Elisha Stories (Sheffield), The Spirit of the Old Testament (Deo), Voice, Word, and Spirit (Abingdon), and Turning Hearts:The Promise and Practice of Spiritual Parenting (forthcoming, Seedbed). Moore is an ordained bishop in the Church of God and serves on the denomination’s Prayer Commission. Together with his wife Jean, he serves in the Westmore Church of God congregation in the area of intergenerational ministry and spiritual parenting. This calling begins with their two adult daughters Hannah and Emily, who with her husband Matthew have given them three grandchildren, Evan, Emmett, and Anna.
